South Yarmouth - 12.12.09

CARPATHIANS 4 - 0 South Yarmouth

The first 25 minutes saw plenty of good football from both sides with Carpathians creating the better chances, but kept out by a resolute South Yarmouth defence. Eventually Carpathians put one of their chances away when OWEN BEEVOR netted after 26 minutes.

By half-time, Carpathians only had 1 goal to show for some decent football.  Second half loomed and Yarmouth began to press more, only for Carpathians to score a second goal after 59 minutes with a goal from RICHARD BARNES headed in from a corner. This took so much out of him that he retired shortly afterward with a pulled hamstring.

With Yarmouth still dangerous Carpathians scored a third with a brilliant free-kick from DANIEL YOUNGMAN which found the bottom corner after 72 minutes. This was just reward after he had hit the woodwork twice although we won't mention the open goal in the first half.

VINNY SHARP secured the win in the last minute of the game with Carpathians fourth goal after good approach play. A good team performance with a solid defence with new player L. Parry playing well.
