Norfolk & Chance - 23.01.10

Norfolk & Chance 2 - 1 CARPATHIANS

Playing one of the top of the league opponents the remit was to keep it tight for the first quarter and as usually happens Norfolk & Chance took the lead in the first minute.

Carpathians took the game forward creating a few good chances. Then Norfolk & Chance had a player sent off but instead of spurring Carpathians on they went 2-0 down after 33 minutes.

Carpathians actually played better against 11 players rather than 10 and found it difficult to make any headway apart from Paul Goodson hitting the post.

In the second half Carpathians did eventually pull a goal back after 66 minutes by DANIEL YOUNGMAN.  Carpathians pressed forward in search of an equalizer but laboured against a stubborn defence.

Norfolk & Chance were still dangerous on the break and had a shot rebound off the crossbar.  In the end Carpathians failed to score again and ended the game pointless.

Unfortunately, the first game back after a long lay-off over Christmas showed as teamwork was at a premium.
