Gorleston Wanderers 7 - 2 CARPATHIANS


Carpathians had a perfect start to the game when they won a free-kick in their first attack after just 1 minute which OWEN BEEVOR took and guided it into the top corner.  Carpathians continued to dominate and scored again after 17 minutes with a second for OWEN BEEVOR. 

Unfortunately, this was not to last as Wanderers reduced the arrears 4 minutes later. 

Carpathians had a gilt edged chance to increase the lead when R. BARNES hit the crossbar and L. GRIGG headed wide from close in. L. Grigg was also the culprit when he failed to find the target with only the keeper to beat.

These became important misses when Wanderers equalised on 32 minutes with an unchallenged header at the far post.

The second half, Carpathians totally lost their shape and Wanderers attacked and scored at will against a team with a 5 player change from last week and it showed.

Carpathians eventually lost 7-2 but could have been closer but for bad finishing again.

Not an inspiring performance, not helped with stand in keeper and an overworked defence. 

Well done to N. MARSHALL in midfield who could not have done more.
